Alcantara Gorge

The tour Sicily “Excursion Alcantara Gorges” begins at the hotel were you will be pick up and be met by the diver who will drive you through the whole tour. Excursion Alcantara Gorges begin our drive through the Nebrodi mountains viewing the lush landscape pf the passing villages. We begin our drive through the Nebrodi mountains viewing the lush landscape pf the passing villages. We make our way to Castiglione of Sicilia where we visit the main monuments, firstly the Lion Castle which has medieval origins, it was given to Roger Count of Laura in 1283 in order to protect the territory of Castiglione. We continue and visit the Catherdral which contains the original Norman apse and paintings. We then stop for a traditional Sicilian breakfast with granite and brioches. After a delightful breakfast we continue to the Alcantara  River that culminates in the wonder of its gorges and canyons of columnar basalt and waterfalls. Once we arrive we visit the Botanical and Geological Park. You have the privilege to enter directly and also a  discount of 20% on all activities. You will be given a T-shirt of the Sicily tour “Excursion Alcantara Gorges”, a welcome drink and tasting of the local products. Lunch at the restaurant La Macina of the luxury Country Resort, Il Borgo or a light lunch at the restaurant of Archi delle Gole dell’ Alcantara. We then proceed our journey back to the Hotel.
